PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS:

BlipChip Nova
BlipChip Nova is the lowest cost blip controller. It reads all 1-level and most 2-level blipped film, 16 or 35mm. It has a user-programmed setup mode, automatic printing and browse, and built-in PC interface for CAR.

BlipChip V (BC5)
BlipChip V is an intelligent controller for retrieving 1, 2, & 3 level ANSI-blipped and un-blipped 16 and 35mm microfilm and interfaces to most roll film reading devices. It features 4 user-programmed setup modes, automatic printing and scanning, and a built-in PC interface for CAR and automatic image-by-image scanning. BC5 reads all blip sizes and can be used with IMC film. Optional sensor switches are available for complex, multi-format applications. BC5's search algorithms and sensing approach result in faster retrievals.

BlipChip Omega
BlipChip Omega is the same as BlipChip V (BC5) but it also reads ALL Kodak Oracle encoded microfilm. (Alpha-coded keycaps are available as a no cost option upon request at time of order.)

BlipChip Avanti
BlipChip Avanti advances the film one page, one file, or one image at a time under push-button control, under foot switch control, under timed control, or under PC control, for inspection, indexing, printing, or scanning. Depending on the application, no special scanning software is required and no special motorized drive interface is required.

BlipChip Interfaces
Contact the company for specific interface availability information or alternate host system recommendations.

BlipChip Image Edge Sensor
The BlipChip Image Edge Sensor is an optional sensor for use with BlipChip V (BC5), BlipChip Omega, or BlipChip Uni for reading unblipped film with image edges. It is also supplied integral with BlipChip II as BlipChip IC6. The sensing area is 0.3" by 5". The sensor can be used on a mirror or on the screen, either inside or outside. This sensor has been in use worldwide since 1993 for scanning unblipped 16mm and 35mm microfilm.

BlipChip Single Foot Switch
BlipChip supplies durable, high quality USA made replacement foot switches for most film-based imaging products. Custom configurations available.

BlipChip Dual Foot Switch
The BlipChip Dual Foot Switch is two separate foot switches that can be interfaced to most motorized readers or carriers to provide hands-free slow forward or slow reverse film motion control.

BlipChip II (BC2)
BlipChip II is a compact, 6-digit up/down cordless blip counter, with 6-digit LCD readout, for use with 1 and 2-level blipped microfilm, including IBM3890 blipped check film. It features a low-density mode for reading light blue diazo blips through the reader screen. Typical battery life is 6000 hours.

BlipChip I (BC1)
BlipChip I (the original BlipChip) is a 4-digit up/down counter with a red LED display. It accurately reads 1-level comic blips from the reader screen and is the lowest cost blip reader available. A wall mount 117 Vac adapter is standard. BC1 can also be supplied with a mating connector for obtaining its power from the host device.

BlipChip Uni
BlipChip Uni is an upgraded BlipChip I packaged in a small desktop console. It uses plug-in replaceable wall mount and desktop adapters for 117 or 220/240 Vac, or no adapter for +12 Vdc. It accepts the same plug-in sensors as the BlipChip controllers and BlipChip Avanti and has a low-density mode for reading light blue diazo film.

BlipChip IC6
BlipChip IC6 is a BlipChip II (BC2) with integral BlipChip Image Edge Sensor instead of a blip sensor. It provides an accurate means for counting (1-level) images on unblipped microfilm other than COM and film with considerable graphic content.

BlipChip EZ60
BlipChip EZ60 is a user-installable electronic odometer with a 6-digit LCD readout, with auto reset, for use on the following motorized carriers at this time: MC60, RFC90, RFC100. EZ60 is compatible with odometer-indexed film from: Bell & Howell, Canon, Kodak, Minolta, and 3M/Imation.

BlipChip Numex
BlipChip Numex is an improved all electronic sequential numbering device for planetary microfilmers. A variety of interchangeable plug-in (mostly 4-digit) LED display modules are available for use on or within the camera copy board. Battery backup is standard. Numex is the preferred add-on and replacement sequential image numbering device. An optional add-on, automated DoJ F & L code display device is also available.

BlipChip Numex Dual
The Dual version includes a second plug-in display module and a Dual Display Adapter Switch (DDA) for selecting the display to be controlled by the Numex Control Module.

BlipChip Numex Jumbo
Jumbo is an interchangeable 4-digit high contrast LED display module with 0.8" digits for use with BlipChip Numex for recording eye-readable sequential numbers.

BlipChip Numex Super 8
Numex Super 8 is BlipChip Numex with an 8-digit, presettable display module. It has the unique capability of displaying reduction ratios from 00.5 to 99.5. The display module can be used as a stand-alone 8-digit version of PC Numex for use with a PC or bar code reader. An optional plug-in numeric keypad will be available for use with or without the BlipChip Numex Control Module. Like PC Numex, the display module is available in four versions for use at any edge of the original. The display is compatible for use with digital scanners and copiers.

BlipChip Numex F+L
The F+L is a Numex add-on providing automatic indicators for FF, F, FL, L, and LL required for DoJ litigation support microfilming, replacing manual F+L coding methods while exceeding DoJ requirements. Enhancements include self-test, operator prompting, nesting status indicators, automatic modes, and proven comprehensive error checking for avoiding re-takes.

BlipChip PC Numex
PC Numex is a compact, 0.5" thick, 16-digit, high contrast, numeric LED display for planetary cameras for image numbering. Many letters are also supported. The data to be recorded on the film is received as serial ASCII from an optional numeric keypad, a laptop, a PC, or an RS-232 bar code reader. Four versions are available to use with any edge of the image. The display is compatible for use with digital scanners as well as on copiers. Digit height is 14mm. Overall line width is 8.375". Power consumption is under 10 watts.

BlipChip Alpha Wand
The Alpha Wand (tm) is a compact, 0.5" thick, 16 character, high contrast alphanumeric LED display for use on planetary camera copy boards, for image lettering using the entire alphabet, 0-9, and much more.
